Experience the Best of the Camino de Santiago

A Life-Changing 8-Day Pilgrimage

While the complete Camino Frances traditionally spans over thirty days, we've crafted an extraordinary journey that captures the most magnificent sections of this ancient pilgrimage in just five days. This carefully curated route allows you to experience the essence of the Camino while balancing the demands of modern life.

Over five incredible days of trekking, you'll conquer 115km from Sarria to the majestic Santiago de Compostela. Your journey winds through the heart of Galicia, offering an enchanting blend of landscapes - from ancient forests and traditional Spanish towns to breathtaking coastal views. Each step brings new discoveries, from centuries-old architecture to the rich cultural heritage of northern Spain.

Your safety and comfort are paramount. Our expert Challenge Leader, certified in Remote First Aid, will guide you throughout the journey, supported by our comprehensive support system including luggage transport and 24-hour emergency assistance. While the daily distances will test your endurance and the terrain presents a rewarding challenge, the route is thoughtfully designed to be accessible while maintaining the authentic Camino experience.

This unique challenge offers far more than just a trek. It's an opportunity to:

  • Make a significant impact for your chosen charity
  • Connect with like-minded adventurers
  • Push your personal boundaries
  • Experience the profound sense of achievement as you reach Santiago

We've enhanced your experience with a full free day in Santiago de Compostela, allowing you to explore this UNESCO World Heritage city at your own pace and truly celebrate your remarkable achievement.

The challenge features moderate ascents and varied terrain, with temperatures typically pleasant for walking, though some warmer days may be encountered. With proper preparation, this adventure offers the perfect balance of challenge and reward.

FAQs

This challenge is not designed for Olympic athletes – it is designed for people looking for an amazing goal to train and get fit for. A number of the people who will take part on this challenge will have a low level of fitness level when they sign up.

Our charity challenge following the Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage is the perfect motivation to get fit, improve your own mental and physical health and support your favourite charity in a big way.

We strongly recommend you train for the trek as we’ll be tackling some steep terrain on our way to Santiago and the fitter you are, the more you’ll enjoy it.

Once you register for the challenge, we’ll send you a realistic training plan. This builds up gradually over time so you’ll be ready and raring to go by the time we depart for Spain.

Please invest in a pair of quality hiking boots with ankle support to wear during your training and on your trek in Spain, as these are essential for walking on uneven terrain. We also recommend incorporating hills in your training walks.
